Pine Rivers Press 6/7/2017 Developer incentives ” a long time coming”
Strathpine real estate agent Donna Roughan says incentives to build medium density and high rise developments in the area has been “a long time coming”.
Moreton Bay Regional Council and Unitywater are to offer incentives for approved development within 800 m of stations at Caboolture and Strathpine, and
along the railway from Strathpine to Kippa -Ring.
“The residents and businesses of Strathpine will welcome the move,” Ms Roughan, Pine Rivers Property Services principal, said.
She said one and two bedroom units were likely to sell for about $300,000 and rent for $250-$350 a week.
The move is designed to stimulate economic growth, urban renewal and provide diverse housing options.
The policy will start on July 1, and includes waiving infrastructure charges and application fees during a two year period.
It’s all about driving incentive for our town centres in Strathpine and Caboolture, and along the Redcliffe Peninsula Line,” mayor Allan Sutherland said.
